New handcrafted beer in Monrovia
There is a wave of new independent breweries popping up everywhere, and the Foothills are no exception. One of such is Wingwalker Brewing, on Maple Avenue, in Monrovia.
A festive grand opening party
Wingwalker Brewing held a grand opening party on February 9, which offered live music by the vibrant local band The Freedom Ledges (@thefreedomledges). It was a cold evening that stopped no one from raising a glass and from filling up every seat in the place; actually, every corner of it.
Food and drink
Wingwalker Brewing offers a variety of beers to satisfy every taste; “blondes” for those who like their drink light and refreshing, and bold and daring brews for those with more elaborate expectations. Opening night became “out to dinner night” thanks to the offerings from food trucks like TomskiSausage (“Los Angeles only authentic Polish food truck”) and TheGoatMafia, which parked right outside the brewery.
If you love the planet (which you should), you’ll be glad to hear that Wingwalker Brewing believes in the four “Rs” – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Re-mode. All its spent grain is repurposed for bakeries and animal treats, its organic waste composted, and reusable growlers and bowlers are offered for carryouts.
The no frills and relaxed ambiance requires no dress code and welcomes your entire family, including your furry friends. Plan to enjoy a beer or two at Wingwalker Brewing. Remember that Lyft will take you anywhere within the Monrovia borders for only 50 cents! Happy and safe is the right way to have fun in the Foothills.
